I feel extremely fortunate as AJW Painting, to be nominated by four of my customers, for a Dulux Select, Decorators Award 2022 and shortlisted as one of the finalists!
The first example of my work is using the Dulux Masonry paint in “Forgotten blue”. My client wanted to turn this tired looking extension into a property attribute adding character and personality. Weathershield has a unique ingredient of acrylic resin providing a guaranteed 15 years all-weather protection.
The second example uses the Dulux water based weathershield system with a gloss finish. This is a lovely smooth paint to work with which glides on wood like a dream. Not only does this look great but also provides 6years weather protection, mould resistant with a flexibly quality to avoid paint cracks which can often be seen on garage doors.
My third example and one of the biggest transformations within this award submission is the stairs feature wall. Originally white but now in the glorious new shade of Maldive dreams in dulux heritage velvet matt from Azko Nobel. This range of paint is known for its strong pigmentation qualities providing intense depth of colour, with a luxurious soft to touch feel. This hallway transformation ads elegance and chic, really catching visitors eye when the front door is opened.
My fourth transformation from a dull white to Edelweiss white used for the ceiling and door frames, with the treads with the rises to the staircase in blue ribbon and an accent wall colour in boat house blue, all from the Dulux Heritage range. I think you can agree that the warming undertones of the Edelweiss white with its hint of blue/grey make it an ideal pairing with blue tones. The walls either side of the feature wall are painted in Blue Ribbon with the feature wall adding depth in Boat House Blue. We tend to forget about hallways and see them being a functional space and often forgotten, but these last 2 examples show real transformation creating chic and homely spaces.
